ABOUT

Marcus Franklin

Marcus Franklin joined the Foundry staff in 2024 and considers himself a true Washingtonian. Marcus discovered his love of music, theater, stages, and the audio-visual world after moving to Washington, D.C., at the age of 11. He attended Duke Ellington School of the Performing Arts, where his focus was on technical theater. His passion for live music production blossomed and reflected as such graduating from Duke Ellington with honors. This distinction resulted in a scholarship to attend Full Sail University in Florida, where he majored in show production.

Prior to joining Foundry, Marcus toured with several renowned musicians and shows, including Maroon 5 and their Red Pill Blues Tour, Elton John's Farewell Tour, and the European tour for Cirque du Soleil. Marcus looks forward to sharing his gifts and experience with the greater Foundry community and is excited to share new ways and ideas to enhance Foundry's mission and ministry.

In his spare time, Marcus enjoys playing the piano and spending as much time as possible with his new son, Kamau, born in May of 2024.
