ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Demonstrates reliable, consistent attendance and attention at all scheduled events.
- Prepares for all events by ensuring: o Physical presence at site is early enough to accomplish all preparation and to ensure leadership that audio/video for the event is ready. o All A/V equipment is set up and working appropriately o Scripting for the event has been reviewed and all sound components are coordinated with leadership.o Hearing Assist Devices are prepared and available if applicable o Recording equipment is set and ready to provide for reliable quality recording of event
- Oversees the continuing assessment and improvement of technology to enable and enhance the ministries and communications of the church. Technology includes but is not limited to IT, database systems, lighting and sound, and live-streaming components.
- Responds urgently to system and equipment failures, ensuring prompt recovery of service.
- Oversees and manages all A/V components at Foundry events, including set up, production, and maintenance of all online events and classes.
- Maintains all audio/sound and technical equipment including: o Developing procedures and processes for properly storing and securing all attached equipment and periphery IT equipment. o Troubleshooting and initiating minor repairs. o Reporting to supervisor all other repair needs. o Recommending new equipment acquisition needs.
- Provides for all customer service needs in a professional courteous manner, particularly as it pertains to the following: o The recording and processes for the legal distribution of any recorded event o The playing of any special recordings for an event within the limits and statutes of the law as it pertains to copyright as well as the standards and beliefs of Foundry United Methodist Church.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, emphasis in Audio Engineering or Production preferred
- Experience with live event production • Knowledge of customer service principles and practices
- Minimum of two-three years of Audio/Visual Technology experience in a related setting
- Knowledge of computers, relevant software applications, and subsequent A/V programs as follows: o VMIX o Yamaha/Dante System o Digital Audio Consoles o Crestron A/V equipment o ProPresenter software o Minimum 2 years’ experience in RTMP streaming with end product on VMIX, Facebook, and YouTube
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Frequently required to stand and walk.
- Regularly required to sit, to use hands to finger, handle, or feel, to reach with hands and arms, to talk and to hear.
- Occasionally required to climb or balance, to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus.
- Physical presence and Sound Technology skills required for all events in Sanctuary and other event spaces within Foundry, as specified for this position including but not limited to: o Sunday Morning Worship Online o Christmas Eve, Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, Easter Sunday o Funerals and Weddings o Other Special Gatherings upon request
