An “advent” is an arrival, a beginning. We enter this beautiful season of the church year with great anticipation of the gifts we will receive. Not the gifts wrapped with a bow, but the gifts from God that fuel and sustain our faith, hope, and love. This is the advent of justice and of fire, of joy and new life!
