Every family has their own stories, narratives that are repeated around tables and at reunions. These stories tell us about our roots, our history, the legacies we inherit. They present portraits of the characters in our family and of our ancestors—those whose lives paved the way for our own. Through this series, we will be exploring core stories of the family of God from the books of Genesis and Exodus.
As a companion to our Sunday exploration, Rabbi Steve Weisman of Temple Solel, in Bowie, Maryland will offer insight on these iconic texts in an online “Ask the Rabbi” session. Each week, we’ll gather with friends from Temple Solel to study the text for the following Sunday. Join us as we go deeper into our family history—and get to know members of our extended family. Because Family…Matters!
