Special Church Conference on Sunday, June 26

On Sunday, June 26, we will hold a Church Conference for the purpose of voting on the slates for the 2025 classes of the Foundry Board and Nominating Committee. In addition, two changes to the Board bylaws approved at recent Charge Conferences will be presented for awareness. The Conference will be held in the sanctuary from 10:15–11 a.m. Ballots will be available online for those who are unable to be present in person for the Conference. More information, including the slates to be voted on, will be shared in a forthcoming communication.

Are you ready to become a Foundry member? Join us for this summer's new member class, "A Disciple's Path!" This six-week class will meet Sundays at 10 a.m. beginning June 19. It goes in-depth on different Spiritual topics and teaches prospective new members more about life and ministry here at Foundry Church. It will be lead by Associate Pastor and Director of Hospitality and Congregational Care, Rev. Dr. Kelly L. Grimes, and will meet both in person and virtually.

Join our 2022 Youth Local Mission Cohort! YLM is an opportunity for youth to explore the intersections of faith, service, and politics by learning from local and national leaders, serving with community partners, immersing themselves in the city, and creating an initiative together. Previous guests include: Mike McCurry, Press Secretary for President Bill Clinton; Rep. Jim Clyburn, House Majority Whip; Rev. Thomas Bowen and Rev. E. Taylor Doctor from the Mayor's office; Rev. Rochelle Andrews from Wesley Theological Seminary, among others.

Join us on Monday evenings this fall for our newest study in the Disciple Bible Study Series, Jesus in the Gospels. The overarching aim of the study is to deepen discipleship through better understanding of the biblical texts and their message. This study helps group members explore how Jesus is rooted in Judaism and the Scriptures of Judaism, and that Christianity and the New Testament are rooted in the Scriptures of Judaism—our Old Testament.The course is 30 weeks long and requires at least five hours of preparation weekly for class conversation and discussion.

Foundry Family Ministries invites you to join us at the beautiful West River United Methodist Camp for a time of rest, recreation and fun. All are invited — whether you are a single, couple, parent, non-parent, grandparent, or friend, you are welcome! Accommodations are provided in lodges with air conditioning and bathrooms. Campers need to bring a sleeping bag, towel, toiletries, and a snack to share. Registration is now open.

For those who have purchased your Foundry parking pass for the Colonial Parking Garage across from the church, please note these hours that it can be used through Dec. 31, 2022: Wednesdays from 7–9 p.m.; Sundays from 8 a.m.–2 p.m.; and the fourth Tuesday of each month from 7–10 p.m. If you have not yet purchased your pass, you can do so at our Welcome Desk in the Community Commons, or online at foundryumc.org/parking
